NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) is a scalable, high performance CPU PCIe3 direct connect to NVMe devices, designed for client and enterprise server systems who want the fastest SSD technology available, designed to reduce latency and provide faster CPU data transfer and overall data storage device performance.
eRacks/FLASH24 with NVMe is optimized for many I/O intensive enterprise applications such as advanced data mining, Big Data / Cassandra / Hadoop, Network Attached Storage (NAS) such as TrueNAS CE (formerly FreeNAS), SDS (Software-Defined Storage) such as Ceph, FinTech / financial transactions, and other Big Data, scientific, and other online transaction processing (OLTP) applications, that were previously not possible to achieve as quickly with standard SAS and SATA SSD storage.
eRacks NVMe enabled servers utilize the high bandwidth and low latency of NVMe SSDs to significantly improve the performance and storage efficiency of these applications.
As always, eRacks/FLASH24 servers come pre-configured with the latest & greatest Open Source software of your choice - in addition to the OS (Ubuntu by Default), you can choose Proxmox VE, Ceph, or any of the open source storage or Big Data software out there, or write in what you want, in the "Notes" field when you place your order or request a quote.

The eRacks/FLASH24 server offers upto 24x SATA6, SAS12, or NVMe hot-swap 2.5" drives supported with flexible connectivity options and proven SSD data storage technology.
The breakthrough performance of the eRacks/FLASH24 server is specially designed for SDS (Software-Defined Storage), Virtulization Hosting, Cloud Computing, and Data Center solutions. A new member of eRacks Systems' extensive line of Open Source petascale-class data storage server solutions, such as Ceph and OpenStack.
The SSDs themselves are available up to 15.36TB (SAS12), for a total capacity of 368+TB, and are available in SATA6 (6Gb/s) as well as higher speeds such as SAS12 (12Gbps) and NVMe (up to ~24Gbps).
