eRacks/GAMER
Built for Steam, from the first boot

eRacks/GAMER ships with Bazzite, a Fedora-based gaming distribution that boots into Steam Gaming Mode, the full-screen, controller-friendly interface from the Steam Deck.

Steam comes installed with Proton (Valve's compatibility layer that runs Windows games on Linux), alongside Heroic for your Epic and GOG libraries, Lutris, GameMode and MangoHud (an on-screen frame-rate and temperature overlay). Sign in with your own Steam account and your library is there. Prefer Ubuntu with Steam, or SteamOS on a Radeon build? Both are in the operating system menu, along with Fedora, Nobara, CachyOS, Pop!_OS and Mint, and every one ships with the same gaming stack.
What's inside

- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, 8 cores, with upgrades up to the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 (the X3D chips carry AMD 3D V-Cache, extra on-chip cache that speeds up games)
- AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB, or GeForce RTX 5070, 5070 Ti and 5080 (RTX 5090 by quote)
- 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 RGB memory, 64GB available
- 2TB WD Black NVMe drive (fast solid-state storage), up to 4TB
- AM5 X870 motherboard with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.5Gb Ethernet
- 850W ATX 3.1 power supply, fully modular, with a native 12V-2x6 cable (the current high-power graphics card plug)
Glass, light and cooling
A panoramic tempered-glass mid tower, black or white, with three ARGB fans and a 360mm ARGB liquid cooler. We set the lighting before it ships: a synced rainbow effect, one color of your choice, or lights off if you like it stealthy. Want it quieter? Add our Quietize option.
Steam on the big screen
Hook GAMER to the living-room TV and Big Picture mode (Steam's TV interface) turns it into a console, with your controller doing the driving. Or leave it in the office and stream to the TV with Steam Remote Play: Valve's Steam Link app runs on Apple TV, Android TV and Amazon Fire TV. Add an Xbox, DualSense or 8BitDo controller (up to four) right in the configurator, or a Steam Controller by quote.
The games that lock Linux out
Proton runs Windows games on Linux. The exception is a handful of online games whose publishers keep Linux players out through their anti-cheat, for no reason except the player's choice of operating system: Valorant and Fortnite among them, per the community list at areweanticheatyet.com. We'd rather point you to the studios that support Linux, and there are plenty of great games that welcome you. But some games are compelling enough that people play them anyway, and it's your machine: if you want Windows dual boot too, note it in the Notes field and click "Get a Quote".
Why Bazzite and not SteamOS?

SteamOS is Valve's own, and Valve supports it only on its own hardware and the Legion Go S. On desktop PCs, Radeon graphics are still in beta, so SteamOS is an option on Radeon builds if you want it anyway.

NVIDIA graphics aren't supported on SteamOS yet. Bazzite gives you a Steam Gaming Mode like SteamOS's, plus a full desktop and NVIDIA drivers built in, so GeForce RTX builds get the same console-style setup.
Streaming and creating
Add a 4K capture card and a USB streaming microphone, plus Discord and OBS Studio preinstalled, and you're ready to stream. Pair it with a 1440p 180Hz IPS or 280Hz QD-OLED (quantum-dot OLED) gaming monitor if you're starting fresh.
Built to order, tested before it ships
Every eRacks/GAMER is assembled, burned in and tested in our facility, with a 1-year full and 3-year limited warranty. Have a specific build in mind? Choose your options, add the details in the Notes field and click "Get a Quote".
Frequently asked questions
Does eRacks/GAMER run Steam games on Linux?
Yes. Steam comes preinstalled with Proton, Valve's compatibility layer that runs Windows games on Linux. Sign in with your own Steam account and install your library as usual. A few online games block Linux through their anti-cheat, so check yours at areweanticheatyet.com before you buy.
Which games won't run?
A handful of online games whose publishers block Linux in their anti-cheat. The community-maintained list at areweanticheatyet.com shows Valorant and Fortnite as denied and recent Call of Duty titles as broken, and keeps the current status of each game.
Can I get Windows on it?
Yes, if you want it. We'd rather point you to the games that welcome Linux, but it's your machine: note Windows dual boot in the Notes field and click "Get a Quote".
Why Bazzite and not SteamOS?
Valve supports SteamOS only on the Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Steam Frame and Lenovo Legion Go S. On desktop PCs, AMD graphics are in beta and NVIDIA isn't supported. Bazzite boots into a Steam Gaming Mode like SteamOS's, includes NVIDIA drivers and gives you a full desktop. SteamOS is still in the menu for Radeon builds, and so is Ubuntu with Steam.
Can I play on my TV?
Yes, two ways. Connect it to the TV and use Steam's Big Picture mode, or leave it at your desk and stream with Steam Remote Play to the Steam Link app on Apple TV, Android TV or Amazon Fire TV.
Which controllers can I add?
Xbox, DualSense and 8BitDo controllers, up to four, right in the configurator. Valve's own Steam Controller is available by quote.
How is the RGB lighting set?
We set it before shipping: a synced rainbow effect, one color you name in the Notes field, or lights off.
