eRacks/MINER8

eRacks/MINER8 is a pre-built, pre-configured 8-GPU open-air mining rig for mid-to-large mining operations. A mining rig earns cryptocurrency by completing proof-of-work computations (POW, the hashing that secures the network); all of that work runs on the GPUs.

Why open-air and x1 risers are the right tool here: mining traffic over the PCIe bus is negligible, so x1 USB risers (the cables linking each GPU to the board) are exactly right, and the open frame keeps eight spaced cards cool around the clock. (Running AI models is the opposite case: our Open-Air AI servers in this category use x8 and x16 risers because model traffic needs the bandwidth.)

Power, spec'd honestly: eight mining GPUs draw roughly 2 to 2.7kW under load, firmly beyond a single 120V circuit. MINER8 ships with dual power supplies, and we spec your site power (two dedicated circuits or a 240V feed) at order.
